Welcome!!to my Content Area Reading Strategies Wiki.I have organized this wiki so that you can either click and learn about a new strategy, or you can you just click, print, and use the resources in your class.I have divided my strategies up into Pre-reading, During-reading, After-reading, and Action Strategies. If you click on each of the links in the navigation bar, you will see a list of strategies that fit under that category.
When you click on the strategy, a link for blacklines and sources/description will come up.
The blacklineslink is intended to be a "click, print, and go" feature. All the things that can be printed out in the blacklines section of the wiki are also featured in my binder under the tab for that strategy.
The sources/descriptionlink has a description of the strategy, suggestions for how to implement the strategy across the content area, and a list of sources used to find the information. For some strategies, you will also find pdf files for professional journal articles related to the strategy.
My technology strategy can be found in the After-Reading Strategies section
My Instructional Group strategy can be found in the After-Reading Strategies section as well.
